Terms of Service
Kartwise is provided by Double Cart LLC ("we", "us"). These Terms apply to the Shopify store ("Merchant", "you") that installs and uses the app. Effective 2026-10-14.
1. The service
Kartwise adds an AI shopping assistant to your Shopify store. It answers customer questions using your store's products, pages and policies, helps customers look up their orders, and lets customers submit return, refund and other claims that your team manages in the app.
2. Your account and eligibility
You must have an active Shopify store and the authority to bind your business to these Terms. You're responsible for everyone on your staff who uses the app.
3. Plans and billing
Paid plans are billed through Shopify's billing system at the price shown when you subscribe. Plan changes, cancellations and refunds of app charges follow Shopify's billing rules. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice.
4. Your data and your customers' data
You keep ownership of your store data and your customers' data. We process customer personal data only on your behalf and under the Data Processing Addendum, which forms part of these Terms. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process and for how long.
You're responsible for having a lawful basis for the processing, for your own store privacy policy (which should mention that you use an AI chat assistant and its subprocessors), and for your store's cookie/consent setup.
5. AI-generated content
Replies are generated automatically by AI and can be incomplete or wrong. Don't present them as professional, legal or safety advice. Review important information (prices, stock, policies, delivery times) in your store and your settings. Refunds, returns and other actions on orders are only taken by your staff from the app — the assistant never issues refunds itself.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use the app to break the law, to send spam, to collect data customers haven't agreed to share, to attack or overload the service, or to reverse-engineer it. We may suspend the app for a store that does.
7. Third-party services
The app relies on Shopify and the subprocessors listed on our Subprocessors page. Their availability is outside our control.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the app available and working, but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may add, change or remove features; if a change materially reduces what your paid plan includes, we'll tell you in advance.
9. Ending the service
You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app. We may end the service for a store with 30 days' notice, or immediately for serious breach of these Terms. After uninstall, your store's data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Warranty disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the app fees you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
12. Indemnity
You'll cover us against third-party claims arising from your store's content, your instructions to the app, or your breach of these Terms or of the law.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material we'll notify you in the app and ask you to accept the new version; continuing to use the app after that means you accept it.
14. Governing law
[governing law / courts — set LEGAL_GOVERNING_LAW]
